Hi! If you’re here, you probably know me anyway.
Right now my LinkedIn tagline reads “lawyer licensed in the State of Illinois, ski bum, future food truck owner, environmentalist.” I love how since I changed my tagline to this, shady legal recruiters have stopped contacting me. #winning
My first blog post explains why I started this blog and what it’s meant to be about. Click here to read it.
What does “Tu Meke” mean? According to my Kiwi sig other, it means “Awesome!” in Maori. I like alliteration.
One day, I hope to write as good an “About Me” page as this one.
In the meantime, here are some of my ideas for upcoming adventures (aka JMT training hikes):
- Shinetsu Trail – 80 kilometers on the mountains range forming the border of Nagano and Niigata Prefectures. Official website here: http://www.s-trail.net/english/ ← DONE! Read about it here.
- Hit up my new dad in Morioka and hike Iwatesan and on through Hachimantai and get a friend in Akita to pick me up from around Goshogake Onsen. Towada-Hachimantai National Park website: https://www.env.go.jp/en/nature/nps/park/towada/index.html
- Hike Xueshan “Snow Mountain” 2nd highest peak in Taiwan and Southeast Asia with my brother (no permit lottery unlike Yushan “Jade Mountain”). Shei-pa National Park website: http://www.spnp.gov.tw/ ← DONE! Look forward to the write up!
Would love your suggestions!
